About me

Hello, I’m Daniel Byron – scribe, speech stylist, and seeker of the sacramental in everyday life. My words might sometimes do the cha-cha thanks to a stammer, but that just adds rhythm to my rhetoric.

Born in the vibrant city of Dundee, I grew up surrounded by the rich tapestry of Scottish culture, which instilled in me a love for storytelling and a good dram.

At Glasgow Caledonian University, where I’m currently honing my skills as a fourth-year journalism student, I delve deep into the intricacies of media, ethics, and communication. Here, I’ve found a passion for unearthing the untold stories that lie beneath the surface of daily newsfeeds.

Aside from my academic pursuits, you’ll find me behind the bar at a bustling Irish pub. This part-time gig not only helps pay the bills but also keeps me connected to people from all walks of life. Whether it’s pouring pints or sharing tales.

Stuttering through sentences has never slowed me down but rather given my voice a unique rhythm that catches the ear. I’ve learned to embrace my stammer, allowing it to add an unexpected twist to my conversations and my writing.

When I’m not buried in books or brewing up a storm behind the bar, I’m likely exploring Glasgow’s nooks or experimenting with my camera, trying to capture the perfect sunset over the Clyde.

Join me on Byron’s Blether where I share insights from my life as a student and storyteller, peppered with a bit of humour, a dash of philosophy, and the occasional poetic slip. Whether you’re here for the stories, the advice, or just to see what concoction I’ve come up with at the pub, welcome aboard!
